These are the minimum to qualify to attend. SFPD will not send you to SFAS until you have far surpassed these standards. Nonetheless, come try out and we will help get you there!

B/2/19 SFG(A) mans, trains, equips and deploys Special Operations Forces (SOF) to conduct Special Warfare globally as directed by U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). On order, each B/2/19 SFG(A) element responds to foreign and homeland threats, disasters, or other assigned domestic missions. B/2/19 SFG(A) Ohio has created a Special Forces Prepatory Detachment ( SFPD ) to help find and prepare future Special Forces candidates.

FITNESS TEST
ARMY PHYSICAL FITNESS ASSESSMENT
Once you've attended the Special Forces briefing, and you're still interested in becoming a member of the Special Forces Ohio group ( B/2/19 SFG (A) ), you'll be administered the Army's Physical Fitness Assessment to ensure you'll be able to make it through the grueling weekend long SFPD drill. If you can't complete the minimum standards, you will be released from drill and asked to return once you can complete each event to at least minimum standards. The minimum standards are in place for a reason. Those below the standards are more prone to injury and quitting.

You'll learn what Special Forces is all about, their mission set, and what makes up an ODA.

Special Forces Prepatory Detachment
After attending B/2/19 SFG( A) briefing in Columbus, OH and having taken the Army PFT, you'll attend a weekend drill at Camp James A. Garfield ( CJAG ) in Ravenna, OH. You'll be tested on your physical fitness, mental toughness, and adaptability.
